Scott McKenna says if Scotland reach the World Cup it will eclipse their double-Euros qualification.
Steve Clarke ’s side are just two games away from getting to the USA, Canada and Mexico next summer.
They face Greece in Athens on Saturday, needing at least a point.
If they do that, they’ll gear up for a winner-takes-all showdown with Denmark at Hampden next Tuesday.
If Clarke’s squad make it to World Cup 2026 , they’ll have qualified for three major tournaments out of four, following Euro 2020 and 2024.
But Dinamo Zagreb centre-back McKenna insists this would be the pinnacle.
