The Punjab Government is taking firm steps to secure the future of orphaned and dependent children through sustained financial and social support initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said in an official press release.

Continuing these efforts, financial assistance amounting to rupees 242.77 crore has so far been released to dependent children across the state, Dr. Kaur said. The financial support aims to assist children who have lost one or both parents
