Kojima Productions announced that a Death Stranding animated series is in production for Disney+. Studio head Hideo Kojima revealed Death Stranding Isolations (working title) will arrive on the streaming service in 2027.

During the Disney+ Originals Preview at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Kojima surprised attendees with the announcement of Death Stranding Isolations. The animated series will be an original story, spinning off from the core story of the Death Stranding series.

Kojima has confirmed that it exists within the same canon as 2019’s Death Stranding and this year’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach .
