On the eve of Bihar's results , RJD leader Sunil Singh has cautioned election officials in the state about the possibility of large-scale Nepal and Bangladesh-like protests if the outcomes were tampered with.

The RJD leader said that he had asked all officials involved in counting not to tamper with the public mandate, warning that if they did so, Bihar could witness unrest similar to what was seen in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Singh added that his party was alert and urged officials not to act against public sentiment.
