WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA, Ind. — Both directions of Interstate 70 reopened west of Richmond in Wayne County following a nearby oil tanker fire.
In an alert around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, INDOT, citing state police, said both directions of the interstate were closed between the 145 (Centerville Road) and 149 (Williamsburg Pike) mile-markers due to "an oil tanker fire off the interstate."
Video from an INDOT camera in the area showed smoke coming from an area near I-70.
By 8 a.m., the agency said all lanes had reopened.
