Srinagar, Nov 13: The Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, on Thursday issued a clarification regarding a social media post alleging gross negligence by medical staff in the treatment of an infant last month. The hospital stated that a committee has been constituted to examine the circumstances leading to the infant’s death, and the doctor involved has been attached pending inquiry.

“This is in reference to the Facebook post circulating about the unfortunate death of a child. Following a complaint received from the parents on October 18, 2025, the SKIMS administration constituted a committee to examine the matter in detail,” the Medical Superintendent of SKIMS said in a statement.
