The Ottawa Senators’ centre agreed to a four-year, $30 million contract extension on Thursday morning that will pay him an average annual value of $7.5 million per season. Article content Article content

This means Ottawa has its top three centres, Tim Stutzle, Dylan Cozens, and Pinto, under contract until the end of the 2029-30 season.

A restricted free agent on July 1 with the right to file for arbitration, Pinto’s hot start with eight goals and 14 points in 16 games had left everybody wondering what kind of raise he would get after making $3.75 million this season in the final year of an extension he signed in July 2024.
