After making three movies in Vancouver, and currently shooting a fourth, it’s safe to say American director Osgood Perkins is well on his way to becoming a local.
“This is the fourth movie in three years that we’ve gone to camera on,” Perkins , who lives with his wife and young son in Vancouver , said of his latest project, The Young People.
The film joins Perkins’s Vancouver cinematic canon that includes the hit indie horror movies Longlegs and The Monkey, which have combined to earn almost $200 million at the box office, along with Keeper, which hits theatres Nov. 14.
“The air is nice, the food is good, the people are relaxed, and I pay a lot of taxes. So, I guess I’m a Vancouverite,” said Perkins, who has applied for his permanent resident card. “In Vancouver, I find the
