Portland saw spotty rain showers overnight and will continue the wet pattern Thursday as a warm front centered offshore in northern California sends rain through western Oregon.

The National Weather Service says this front will spread rain through the metro area much of the day and overnight and will continue through early Friday morning. The chance of a half inch of rain (from 4 a.m. Thursday through 4 a.m. Friday) currently sits at 25-35% across the Willamette Valley and 60-80% along the coast.

Portland is seeing a break in precipitation early Thursday morning, but showers will return before noon. The high will be about 62 degrees.

Friday will start off with showers and mostly cloudy skies, but the afternoon may offer more breaks in the rain. The high will cool to about 58 degrees.
