STINNETT, Texas (KFDA) - The Stinnett Police Department is currently working with limited operations due to low personnel.

This comes after the police chief’s retirement announcement and three officers resigned last month.

City of Stinnett City Manager Melisa Webster says as of next week the only active personnel will be the interim police chief.

Webster says three officers, two of which were either reserve or part-time, resigned for higher paying positions or careers.

She assures Stinnett residents they are safe as the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office steps in to offer help.
