In a move aimed at improving patient services and reducing delays, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has assured key reforms at KEM Hospital following a review meeting chaired by Cabinet Minister and Mumbai’s Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, along with Mumbai BJP president Amit Satam.

Within the next 15 days, 10 new registration centres will be set up at KEM to streamline patient record-keeping and cut long waiting hours. Additionally, the civic body will soon float tenders to allow private centres to conduct MRI scans at official municipal rates until the hospital’s own machine becomes operational. The move is expected to save both time and money for patients who have been facing long delays and high costs.
