BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. —

A multi-agency operation in Buncombe County, North Carolina, ended with the seizure of trafficking quantities of illegal narcotics and the arrest of two people.

On Nov. 5, members of the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Illegal Gun Reduction and Narcotics Task Force (IGRANT) along with members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted an arrest warrant service operation in Black Mountain.

The Asheville Police Department (APD) and Black Mountain Police Department (BMPD) also assisted in this multi-agency joint operation.

Buncombe County Detention Center Nazae Maewether, Mahogany Brewer

As a result of the investigation, Nazae Maewether was arrested on numerous outstanding felony warrants
