New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed to impose the strictest punishment on those responsible for the recent car blast in Delhi, which resulted in the deaths of 13 people and injuries to over 25. Speaking via video link during the inauguration of the Shri Motibhai R. Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School and Sagar Organic Plant in Gujarat, Shah emphasized that this action will send a clear message globally that attacks on India will not be tolerated.
Shah expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the November 10 explosion near the Red Fort. He stated, "Prime Minister Modi's resolve to ensure strict punishment for all those responsible for this terrorist act will definitely be fulfilled." He further added, "All those who committed this cowardly act and those behind it will be brought before the law and given the strictest possible punishment. The Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs are fully committed to ensuring this."
His remarks followed two high-level meetings he chaired to review the investigation into the blast. Shah instructed officials to "hunt down each and every culprit" involved in the incident, asserting that everyone connected to the attack will face the full force of the law.
During the event, Shah also highlighted the significance of the newly inaugurated Sagar Sainik School, which aims to inspire youth to join the armed forces. The school, built on 11 acres at a cost of Rs 50 crore, features modern facilities including smart classrooms and hostels. Shah noted that the establishment of this school is part of a broader initiative to create 100 new Sainik Schools across the country under a public-private partnership model.
The Delhi blast has raised serious national security concerns, prompting a swift response from various central and state agencies involved in the investigation. Shah's commitment to addressing terrorism underlines the government's ongoing efforts to enhance security and public safety in India.
