Local filmmaker Derek Diorio’s new film is screening this Friday, November 14, at the North Bay Film Festival. The story revolves around a young woman held captive in a high-tech self-driving car as she’s being delivered to a billionaire predator. It’s fast-paced with plenty of thrills and dark humour, and Diorio said it just may be the most ‘North Bay’ film ever shot — from its cast to its locations.

“A lot of people think that your area code is a determinant of talent, and I just never believed that,” Diorio said. “In North Bay, there are so many talented people.”
