When some people run into their heroes, they try to shoot their shot.

One fan got that chance when he saw Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes and his girlfriend, gymnast Livvy Dunne, at an airport.

The fan, with the username @steviemast on Instagram, asked for photos and posed with each of them separately while the other athlete took the pic.

Unsurprisingly, the photo Dunne took of her newly minted Cy Young winner boyfriend and the fan was a perfectly framed shot that required no cropping or editing (because such snaps are basically in the gymnast’s job description).

Skenes’ photography skills, however, were a different story, with the fan’s face completely missing from the frame while Skenes’ girlfriend smiles almost knowingly at him.
