Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria paid glowing tributes to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, describing his martyrdom as “an unparalleled sacrifice in the defence of faith and human rights”.
Speaking after receiving the ‘Dharm Rakhiak Yatra’ at Rayat Bahra University on Thursday, the Governor said Guru Tegh Bahadur’s selfless act to protect the Kashmiri Pandits’ right to religion continues to inspire humanity across centuries.
He noted that commemorative events marking the martyrdom anniversary of Guru are being held not only in Punjab but throughout India, celebrating his message of courage, tolerance, and spiritual freedom.
