AMHERST, Ohio (WOIO) - School officials say a “large” deer crashed at full speed through a cafeteria window Thursday morning.
It happened around 7:20 a.m. at Amherst Junior High, while students and staff sat inside for breakfast.
Thankfully, the district says no one was significantly hurt.
Officials said when the deer rushed in, they barricaded it to the cafeteria and on the stage.
Once police got there, officers and staff helped to lead the deer outside through a back door.
According to the district, the school nurse was available to any students in need, and breakfast was offered later that morning.
