PEMBROKE — The UNC Pembroke Braves women’s basketball season is ready to get underway and since they are projected to finish third in Conference Carolinas, expectations are high for the program. The Braves are looking to make their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and look like contenders heading into the 2025-26 season.
The 2024-25 Braves (22-9, 15-5 CC) were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. This year, they hope the return of junior guards Anastasia Sinclair and Natalie Evington and senior forward Tiana Spann will help them get deeper into the tournament.
Sinclair averaged 11.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game last year, and was a third-team All-Conference Carolinas selection. Evington scored 4.6 points per game, but averaged 9.1 points over t
