A 27-year-old Cochrane resident is facing impaired driving charges after Ontario Provincial Police found a vehicle in a ditch on Highway 11 West during the early morning of Nov. 9.

Officers from the James Bay OPP located the vehicle around 1:50 a.m. The driver was arrested and charged with impaired operation and having a blood-alcohol concentration above zero as a novice driver.

Police say the accused received a 90-day roadside license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound. The individual is scheduled to appear in court in December.
