INDIANAPOLIS — It took years of battling through injuries, listening to his body and making tweaks to his training regime for Butler grad student Jesse Hamlin to get in position to end his cross country career feeling his best.
Hamlin, a Fort Wayne Snider grad and former two-mile state champion, redshirted his first year at Butler in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic wiped out his 2020 cross country season. He broke his foot during his first race in 2021, allowing him to apply for and gain a medical redshirt.
