HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut's largest expansion of early childhood care is taking shape.
Gov. Ned Lamont announced Thursday that the state will be adding many more childhood education spaces.
Parents are going to have 1,000 new options for early childhood education, and that's going to be available early in the new year.
The "Early Start CT" program said January 2026 is when these new early childhood education centers will become available for income-eligible families.
Lamont spelled out how his state-funded early childhood care mission is helping parents take care of their kids while saving them thousands of dollars.
