Turning Point USA has officially been formed on Monroe County Community College 's campus and had its first meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 4, with another set for Tuesday, Nov. 18.

The club was formed after it was approved by the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success Scott Behrens.

According to the president of the club, Jacob Helton, there has been no pushback from the student body so far. However, at the Student Government Association meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 11, a committee to look into appealing Behrens' approval was voted on and approved, according to MCCC director of marketing and communications Joseph Verkennes.
