Huntington University celebrated four of Greater Sudbury’s well-known community leaders for their professional achievements and civic leadership with the presentation of honorary degrees in a conferral ceremony in Science North’s Vale Cavern on Oct. 23.
Mary-Liz Warwick, Ralph McIntosh, Judith Straughan and Dan Xilon each received an honorary doctorate of sacred letters, “one of the highest honours for achievement given by the university” in recognition of their “exceptional contributions to education, culture, social services, and volunteerism,” Huntington said in a media release this week.
