Maryland Republicans in the State House plan to introduce legislation to counter the governor’s redistricting plan, aiming to establish “fair maps” and prevent mid-cycle redistricting.
The legislation would allow congressional maps to be redrawn only every 10 years and would ban mid-cycle redistricting.
“We’re going to have a bill to introduce that will address what we will call fair maps,” Senate Minority Leader Steve Hershey said.
