YOUNGSTOWN - A science teacher with the Youngstown City School District (YCSD) accused of stealing school funds is set to plead in her case.

East High School Science Teacher Traci Cain, who is charged with one felony count of theft, is set for a plea and sentencing hearing on December 8.

The charge stems from conduct that allegedly occurred between July of 2017 and March of 2025.

In September of 2023, 21 News broke a story about the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) investigating funds that went missing from East High School, which caused the senior trip to Florida to be canceled, only to be rescheduled soon after its cancellation.
