The lower-body injury suffered by Auston Matthews on Tuesday night in Boston during the Leafs’ 5-3 loss against the Bruins will keep him out of the lineup on Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings at Scotiabank Arena. Article content Article content
An official word on Matthews’ status, as well as that of goalie Anthony Stolarz, is expected from Leafs coach Craig Berube following the morning skate.
In the 15 games that Matthews missed in 2024-25 because of a lingering upper-body injury, the Leafs were 10-5-0.
Stolarz suffered an upper-body injury in Boston and also won’t play against the Kings. He was done after the first period against Boston.
