Frederick's chief of police, Jason Lando, is leaving to take the chief of police job in Pittsburgh, a spokesperson for the Frederick Police Department confirmed on Thursday.

Lando is expected to be nominated as the chief of police in Pittsburgh by the city's mayor-elect, Corey O'Connor, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported .
