Buckle up, we're heading into holiday season again and we all know what that means: It's time to decide how much we want to talk about politics with family over a meal.
Get excited.
I'll just be honest with you, fine people. I'm on the record as wanting to have nothing to do with friends or family who support President Donald Trump's immigration policy. It's a byproduct of having family who are immigrants and of growing up directly on the U.S.-Mexico border.
But I realize that's a bit of a strange thing for people to believe. So we decided it would be a good idea to ask you all as part of our USA TODAY Opinion Forum, where readers turn to voice their thoughts.
How do you handle navigating politics over the holidays?
Answer this simple question to be included. Do you avoid friends or family over the holidays because of politics? Why? Fill out our form below or send us an email to forum@usatoday.com with the subject line "Forum Thanksgiving Politics." We'll use some of your best submissions for a follow-up post.
I'll also take this time to thank those of you who have responded to our previous questions. You are an opinionated group, and we love you for it.
