John Johnson and Tre Garrison will continue as teammates beyond this season.
The Edna Karr quarterback and running back, respectively, are now committed to play in college at Washington State, after Johnson made his commitment late Wednesday night.
Johnson announced his decision one week after Garrison.
Johnson is a third-year starter who guided Karr to another No. 1 playoff seed for the second year in a row as the Cougars seek a second consecutive LHSAA Division I state championship.
Karr will take a 23-game winning streak that ranks as the longest in the state into their second-round playoff game next week against the winner of a first-round game between No. 16 McDonogh 35 and No. 17 Jesuit. The Cougars have a first-round bye and will not play this week.
