19 minutes and 56 seconds. That's all it took for Iowa State's Audi Crooks to break the school's single-game scoring record on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The Algona native recorded 43 points during the 18th-ranked Cyclones' 97-50 win over Valparaiso at Hilton Coliseum. Crooks shot 18 of 23 from the field and went 7 of 9 from the foul line, while also hauling in seven rebounds and dishing out two assists.
"There's been a lot of really good players here that have played at Iowa State," Iowa State head coach Bill Fennelly said postgame. "To say you have the school record is pretty impressive."
Who held the single-game scoring record at Iowa State before Audi Crooks?
The 20-year-old broke the previous record set by Cyclones Hall of Famer Tonya Burns on Jan. 18, 1984, in a loss to Nebras
