CHICAGO ( NewsNation ) — A Chicago day care teacher who was detained by federal agents was released from an immigration detention center Thursday, her attorneys said.

Diana Santillana Galeano was released from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Indiana late Wednesday after a U.S. District judge in Chicago ruled her arrest was illegal because she was not offered bond at the time of her detainment.

Santillana Galeano was taken into custody Nov. 5 at the Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Center in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood. On Friday, she will be reunited with the parents of the children
