Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who inaugurated the Ahmedabad International Book Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Center on Thursday, visited the book stall of Gujarat Vidyapith and bought two sets of books on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — ‘Peerless Sardar’ by Gunvant Shah and ‘Karmyogi Sardar’ by former Chief Minister Babubhai Jashbhai Patel and Siddharth Narhari Bhatt. He also purchased two sets each of two full scape notebooks with a cover of Gujarat Vidyapith. Pradhan after purchasing these books using digital payment thanked the Gujarat Vidyapith for providing books at such confessional rates and said he is looking forward to reading the books on Sardar Patel. The Union minister also bought two brochures on the 125-year-old institute established by Mahatma Gandhi.
