VIENNA, Va. — Fire crews in Fairfax County are working to extinguish a house fire in Vienna Thursday afternoon. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the flames and keep them from spreading to a nearby wooded area.

Firefighters were first called to the home for a report of a fire around 10 a.m. Once on scene, they found flames and smoke coming from the home. A helicopter was called in to fight the flames from the air and keep them from spreading.

Crews said two people were evaluated for injuries at the scene of the blaze. The injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the is still under investigation. It is not known if the home had working smoke alarms.
