COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Scout Motors is heading north of the state line to house its corporate headquarters.
The electric vehicle maker announced Wednesday that it selected Charlotte, North Carolina, as its new corporate home. The company said the $207 million investment will bring 1,200 jobs to the city.
Notably, Scout Motors’ manufacturing plant is still under construction in Blythewood. In its announcement, the company said the Charlotte headquarters “will further cement Scout Motors’ presence in the Carolinas and enable seamless coordination between manufacturing, corporate and technical operations.”
