Each day presents a new riddle for the USC offensive line.

Literally. A student coach will come in and ask the position group to solve a riddle as part of position coach Zach Hanson’s efforts to get more players involved in meetings. Usually, it’s center Kilian O’Connor or walk-on Jack Susnjar who’s cracking them.

“When it’s time to get serious and locked in, we’re locked in,” Hanson said. “But I want the meeting room to be lighter. I don’t want it to be a silent room with me at the front just talking at the guys.”

The Trojans have sent out six different offensive line combinations this season due to injuries, but the offense has still operated at an elite level with Hanson coaching the Trojans in the trenches for the first time.
