To help save vehicle registration costs, lets eliminate front license plates in Maryland (“ Maryland now ranks fifth highest for vehicle registration costs ,” Oct. 18).

Our neighbors in Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as North Carolina, don’t seem to need them. We could do without them, too.

How about effective Jan. 1, 2026?
