COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Department of Social Services announced Thursday that it will be issuing full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November since the federal government officially reopened yesterday.

The agency said in a statement Thursday that since the FY26 Appropriations Act passed Congress and signed into law by President Trump Wednesday, SNAP, including November 2025 benefits, is fully funded through Sept. 30, 2026.

Based on guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, full SNAP benefits will be issued for the following groups

New SNAP households that were approved for benefits between Oct. 16 and Nov. 13

SNAP households that have a monthly issuance date between the 1st and 14th of the month.
