For the fourth time in five years, the WPIAL will be represented by three schools in the PIAA girls volleyball finals, which will be held Saturday at Cumberland Valley High School.
Two of the three schools — Oakland Catholic and Avonworth — are making their first appearance in a PIAA title match. The third school — Pine-Richland — is making its third appearance in the finals and first since 2005.
A new champion will be crowned in three of the four classes, as Pope John Paul II is the only returning champion that made a return trip to the finals.

Class 4A
Pine-Richland will face Spring-Ford in the last of the four title matches, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
