Beginning with a wreath-laying ceremony at 8:30 a.m., and followed by a visit to the Veterans Home by state officials, a concert, and a dinner in the evening, Tuesday, November 11 was all about celebrating the exceptional contributions and sacrifices made by Bristol’s military veterans. Morning observances in the War Garden were short but sweet, led by Walter Coelho, president of the Bristol Veteran’s Council. It began with a prayer and a wreath-laying at the memorial wall, followed by Taps, and a salute by the Bristol Train of Artillery.
