COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Blue Jackets are back from their five-game road trip, but their captain will not be on the ice any time soon.

Head coach Dean Evason told reporters, including team reporter Jeff Svoboda, at Thursday’s morning skate ahead of their game vs. the Edmonton Oilers that the injury that Boone Jenner suffered on Tuesday in Seattle is not a “short term” injury.

Jenner left in the second period of Tuesday night’s 2-1 shootout win vs. the Kraken with an upper-body injury and did not return. He played just 7:21 of the game.
