EXCLUSIVE : Edgar Jaramillo , who previously oversaw Vice Studios’ operations in Latin America & U.S. Hispanic, is among the co-founders of a new production banner.
Jaramillo, who spent four years at the youth-skewing media company, has launched Break Da Rules . The company is launching with outposts in LA, New York City, Miami, Mexico City, Bogotá and Buenos Aires.
The launch comes ahead of Mip Cancun later this month.
The aim is to develop original documentaries, formats, and films, particularly in the true-crime and music doc spaces. It will include original IP{ as well as commercial and branded content with the studio also representing directors and photographers. There is also an animation and technology division.
The team also includes former Sony Music Lating exec Cesar A.
