HIAWATHA — The Hawkeye Area Community Action Program has tapped Matt Majeski to serve as its next chief executive officer.

Majeski, who currently serves as HACAP’s chief operating officer, will assume his new role on Jan. 1. He succeeds outgoing CEO Jane Drapeaux, who is retiring next month after more than 20 years with the Hiawatha-based nonprofit.

A HACAP press release states Majeski was selected for the role because of his strategic thinking, operational excellence and “deep-rooted commitment to helping individuals and communities thrive.”
