Manchester United's chase of Karim Adeyemi could be good news for one of their players in particular.

Adeyemi has not started either of Borussia Dortmund's last two Bundesliga matches after throwing a bottle in response to being substituted during their previous league match. His head coach, Niko Kovac, described the player's conduct as "unnecessary".

United are now said to be alert to Adeyemi's potential availability ahead of the winter transfer window . Discussions about his future at the club are reportedly underway, although his new agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to be seeking a new contract with a £70 million release clause.
