Tyler Mullan is part of a Queen’s Gaels football team that has national championship aspirations. The Gaels continue their big playoff run this weekend when they face the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in the Mitchell Bowl.
Mullan is the kicker for the Gaels and booted three field goals, one from 46 yards, as Queens won its first Yates Cup title in 16 years, upsetting the nation’s number one team, the Laurier Golden Hawks 30-27 last weekend. The Gaels avenged a regular season loss to Laurier at exactly the right time.
Mullan spoke to the Nugget from Kingston the night before the club was flying to Saskatoon to try to win the national semi-final.
