[DES MOINES, Iowa] — The USDA's Food and Nutrition Service has directed Iowa's Health and Human Services to distribute full SNAP benefits for November as the federal government reopens. Benefits are currently being loaded onto cards and may be available later today, Thursday, November 13.

Iowa HHS expects that all SNAP benefits will be issued by Friday, November 14. They advise recipients to check their EBT card balances before making any purchases.

SNAP recipients can verify their EBT balance by calling the number on the back of their card, 800-359-5802. They can also log into their ConnectEBT account online or use the ConnectEBT Mobile app.
