ALMONT — As the only Blue Water Area high school football team left standing in the MHSAA playoffs, all eyes will be on Almont (11-0) on Friday, Nov. 14, as it hosts Detroit Edison (9-2) in a Division 6 regional final.

The game will be a rematch from Week 9, when the Raiders held off Edison, 53-46. In fact, it'll be the fourth meeting between the programs since 2023. Almont is 3-0 over that stretch, which includes a 49-24 win over Edison in the 2023 regional final .

So, before Friday's game kicks off at 7 p.m., here's a look at how the Raiders got to this point.

District semifinal: Almont 42, Clintondale 12

Following a regular season that saw Almont clinch its third straight BWAC title, the team rolled to a 30-point victory over Clintondale in the district semifinal round.
