LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a suspicious item that was reported near the Las Vegas Convention Center.

According to police, detectives report that a small explosion happened at a business near Convention Center Drive.

Officials say no injuries have been reported at this time.

Sources tell FOX5 it appears to be a gasoline-filled object thrown at the porch of a business.

Police have shut down traffic on Convention Center Drive in both directions from Las Vegas Boulevard to Paradise Road.
