Srinagar, Nov 13: The Kashmir Valley shivered as temperatures plunged further on Thursday, with Srinagar recording the coldest night of the season so far at minus 2.1°C .

According to Meteorological Department (MeT) data, Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded minus 3.8°C , while the famous ski resort Gulmarg registered a minimum of 0.5°C .

Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, Director MeT, told Rising Kashmir that the mercury in Srinagar dropped as expected, marking the season’s lowest temperature. “Night temperatures are likely to dip further in the coming days,” he said.

The forecast predicts dry weather across the Valley from November 13 to 15, partly cloudy skies on November 16, followed again by dry conditions until November 19.
