A law enforcement agency in northwestern Minnesota is warning residents about a string of recent coyote sightings.
The Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office says it has received multiple reports of coyote sightings in the city of Breckenridge, about an hour south of Fargo.
The coyotes have been spotted near the Bois de Sioux Golf Course and have reportedly approached people and their pets.
Along with the Breckenridge Police Department and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Wilkin County is working with residents and landowners to address the issue and ensure everyone remains safe.
Anyone who spots an animal acting unusual or aggressively is asked to report it to local authorities.
