CHARLESTON — A downtown restaurant with ties to a same-named Georgia eatery is closing its doors less than two years after its debut on Meeting Street.

The Select , which takes its inspiration from a famous Parisian brasserie, will shutter 16 months after it opened inside Greystar's corporate headquarters at 465 Meeting St.

Ownership announced the news on social media Nov. 13.

They did not specify a closure date, though all reservations — aside from a prix-fixe meal on Thanksgiving Day — have been blocked off on resy.com . A phone call to the restaurant went unanswered.
